As the host, you can control video playback, including pausing, skipping, and adjusting the timer. Watcher Page: For guests who want to enjoy the video. Guest controls are disabled, allowing them to focus on the viewing experience. Features: Synchronized Chat: Both pages feature a real-time chat function, enabling all participants to communicate seamlessly. Mobile Chat: For those who prefer watching the video in full screen while chatting on their phone, a link for phone chat will be generated. Reusable Links: The watch party link you create will remain active for a year, allowing you to reuse it for future gatherings with your friends. All chat records will be preserved. Custom Usernames: Upon joining the room, each participant will be assigned a random username, but they can customize it within the chatroom. Private Chatroom: You can use this as a public chatroom for you and your friends privately, as the links are unique and last for a year. Ready to start? How to Use the Watch Party Feature Step 1: Create a Watch Party Click the Create Watch Party Button: On the Watch Party creation page, click the Create Watch Party button. Copy the Generated Links: After clicking the button, you will see three links: Watch Party Control Page: Use this link to control the video (start, pause, etc.). This link should be used by the host or organizer. Watch Party Watcher Page: Share this link with your friends so they can join and watch the video. Watch Party Mobile Chat: Use this link to chat on your mobile device while watching the video on another screen. Share the Watch Party Links: Copy the links and share them with your friends through email, social media, or any other preferred method. Step 2: Start and Control the Watch Party Open the Control Page: The host should open the Watch Party Control Page link. This page allows the host to start, pause, and control the video playback for everyone in the Watch Party. Set the Video URL: Enter the direct link to the video in MP4 format in the provided field on the Control Page. The video must be hosted online and accessible via a direct link. You can host the video on your own server or use a cloud storage service that provides direct video links. The video will load, and you can control playback from this page. Upload Subtitles (Optional): If you have subtitle files (SRT or VTT), you can upload them through the Control Page to enhance the viewing experience. Step 3: Join the Watch Party as a Viewer Open the Watcher Page: Participants should open the Watch Party Watcher Page link to join the Watch Party. They will be able to watch the video as it is being controlled by the host. Participants can click on “Synchronize Video” whenever they want to be back on track with the current controller’s movie’s time. Join the Mobile Chat (Optional): Participants can use the Watch Party Mobile Chat link to chat on their mobile devices while watching the video on another screen. Step 4: Interact and Enjoy Chat with Friends: Use the chat feature to interact with friends and other participants. You can type messages, send emojis, and see who is currently typing. Reactions and Emojis: Click on the emojis to add them to your chat messages. This allows you to react and express yourself during the Watch Party. Viewer List: See who else is watching by checking the viewer list on the Control and Watcher pages. Additional Tips Synchronization: The Control Page ensures that all viewers are synchronized, so everyone watches the video at the same time. Notifications: Enable or disable notifications to suit your preference. Username: You can change your username at any time by entering a new name in the provided field. Video Requirements: Make sure the video link you use is a direct link to an MP4 file. If you need to host the video yourself, you can upload it to your own server or use a service that provides direct MP4 links.
